Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is a pharmaceutical grade sterile water solution supplied in a sealed multi-dose glass vial. Available in 3ml and 10ml sizes to suit a range of research requirements.
Bacteriostatic Water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which inhibits bacterial growth and allows the vial to be accessed multiple times whilst maintaining sterility. It is the standard solvent used in research settings for the reconstitution of lyophilised peptide compounds. Unlike standard sterile water, the benzyl alcohol preservative extends the usable life of the reconstituted solution, making it the preferred choice for multi-use research applications.
Storage: Store at room temperature away from direct light. Do not refrigerate. Do not freeze.
