Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide consisting of seven amino acids — Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. It is an analogue of the naturally occurring tetrapeptide Tuftsin, with additional amino acids added to enhance stability. Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Selank has been the subject of extensive published scientific research and is one of the most comprehensively documented synthetic anxiolytic peptides in academic literature.
